Blythe Neighborhood Council
Blythe Neighbourhood Council and the Masbro Community Centre The Masbro Centre is one of the largest community led centres in the London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, which has established a reputation for quality provision of services, which are tailored to the expressed needs of local people. The Masbro Centre provides a diversity of services and facilities to the local community including education and training initiatives. Sports and recreational facilities, promoting events and improvements to premises have all grown apace in the last few years. Our community Participation project provides volunteering opportunities at the Masbro Centre. The development of the Blythe Good Neighbour service, Summerdaze project, themed lunches, quarterly newsletter, Annual carnival and playscheme are all owed to the help of our team of volunteers. The key to success for the Masbro Centre is to build on our existing partnerships with funders, make further links with agencies and training providers and promote new areas of work. Hammersmith and Fulham Volunteer Centre
Hammersmith and Fulham Volunteer Centre (HFVC) is a volunteer bureau whose function is to promote, support and develop volunteering. Volunteers are active in supporting organisations throughout the Borough by providing assistance with web design, research, photography and promoting links with businesses. Volunteers, voluntary organisations, businesses and statutory agencies are essential for the HFVC to continue its work with the community. All of these enhance the HFVC's services and projects, enabling us to develop volunteering to its fullest capacity. Volunteers can bring special skills, experiences and community perspectives to the HFVC, to voluntary organisations, businesses, statutory agencies as well as to staff in organisations. Volunteers contribute to the development of the individual and to the wider community. Volunteers are strong representatives of HFVC throughout this community and promoters of volunteering opportunities for the community.
